Pasado simple

(Past simple)

Introducción

El pasado simple se usa para hablar de:
Se sabe cuándo o por cuánto tiempo ocurrieron estas acciones.

Ejemplos:

Parte 1 - Pasado simple en forma afirmativa

Los verbos regulares del pasado simple llevan la terminación "-ed"

Por ejemplo:
I
You
He / She / It
We
They
walked to the office.
played tennis.
laughed.
washed the car.
(worry =) worried all day.

Los verbos irregulares del pasado simples son diferentes y deben aprenderse por separado.

Por ejemplo:
I
You
He / She / It
We
They
fell off the wall.
forgot the keys.
left work early.
bought some new clothes.

Parte 2 - Pasado simple en forma negativa

Para construir una oración negativa usamos
didn´t (did not) + el infinitivo del verbo principal (sin "to")


Por ejemplo:
I
You
He / She / It
We
They
didn't buy any new shoes.
go to work yesterday.
play badminton last night.

Parte 3 – Forma interrogativa del pasado simple

To make a question we use
did + the infinitive of the main verb (without "to")

Remember to put "did" before the subject: Did you, Did he Para hacer una pregunta usamos
did + infinitivo del verbo principal (sin "to")

Recuerde poner "did" antes del sujeto: Did you, Did he

Did you ask her to the party? Yes, I did. / No, I didn't (did not).
Did he visit the office yesterday? Yes, he did. / No, he didn't (did not).
Did they buy a new house? Yes, they did. / No, they didn't (did not).
