Einführung

Das Futur I wird verwendet, um auf folgende Weise über die Zukunft zu sprechen:

• Prognosen
• spontane Entscheidungen
• Angebote
• Versprechen.

Beispiele

• "We’re having a picnic tomorrow. It will rain."
• "Will you go to the party?" "Hmm ... yes, I will go to the party."
• "You look tired. I will make you a cup of tea."
• "I will finish the work tomorrow."

Sätze, in denen das Futur I für Vorhersagen verwendet wird, beginnen oft mit „think", zum Beispiel:

I You We They	think don't think
He She It	thinks doesn't think

Beispiele

• I think she will win the match.
• She doesn't think they will arrive on time.

Für „I" und „We" können wir „shall" anstelle von „will" verwenden – es ist formeller:

• I shall go to the party.
• We shall visit him later.

Bei Fragen ist es, wie einen Vorschlag zu machen:

• Shall we go to the cinema?
• Shall I open the window?

Nota bene: Verwenden Sie „will" nicht, um über Pläne oder Vereinbarungen zu sprechen, die Sie bereits beschlossen haben. Für diese müssen Sie „going to" oder das Präsens in der Verlaufsform für das Futur verwenden.

• I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow.
• She's going to visit her aunt at the weekend.

Form – positives Futur I

Wir verwenden „will" + den Infinitiv des Hauptverbs (ohne „to").
